Christ (title) – Wikipedia)
To elaborate it is easy to see where this Christ terminology can roll over in many directions, especially since it just means anointed one, whom is a Savior… but could a Viking Christ honor the original Anointed One concept in any way? Personally i think, WHY THE HELL NOT, he would have a lot less turn the other cheek submissive hang ups!? As long as the Viking Christ had Godly wise fair morals… how wouldn’t he be a perfect fit as a Superior Warrior Savior?
“And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon called Faithful and True; and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. And his eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems; and he hath a name written which no one knoweth but he himself. And he is arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure. And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS (Rev. 19:11-16 – ASV)
And before you assume i am distorting things in the Viking favor, which i sort of am…. this warrior savior concept rings out in pretty much every major religion because the SUPERIOR son of God, is generally depicted as a warrior!
In Norse myths we see this archetype in Thor, but knowing in magic we need to pull upon the strongest archetype for magical works, i suggest we Call upon Saturn, aka Saxon’s Seater aka Norse Loki.
As seen in my other articles, Saturn calls back to a Golden age of Paganism. If we are to follow the cycle of the universe, and lift Pagans up again, I say we look back to our Golden age, in replication of things they got right! Lastly we see the world is still strongly baring the mark of Saturn, and we should render unto Saturn what is his!
